Is that really the definition? Because I’m a Brit, and although I have always come across it in that context, I also always assumed that it applied to fruit generally. Just that apple orchards are the most common, so that scrumping apples is the most likely, as opposed to say plums or cherries.

i mostly object to new age shite on the grounds of its lack of poetry
and literary charm. (Lack of poetry is the essence of poetry sometimes, but I think we can make a distinction.) Never mind if the actual content is baseless bollocks: it’s almost invariably badly-written baseless bollocks, that’s the important thing.

Zoot Money
So the Dear One dragged me off to a bloke thing today, and on the way we listened to an easy/60s station. The first, and totally the most rocking tune was Zoot Money’s ‘Big Operator’. Now I have only to track it down and play it constantly, until Dear One knows the extent of my wrath when obliged to participate in Bloke Things.
